I don’t know where to begin. I’m so grateful to have someone like you in my life. I’ve been through a lot, and through my years if being bullied - One Tree Hill was the one thing that I was able to look forward to. I loved Quinn from the very first moment she appeared on my screen. This last season in particular has been amazing. Quinn has grown so much as a person, and you’ve evolved as an actress. I love how it ended, my heart just smiled watching the little Evans family!
After meeting you last summer I could see how special you really are as a person. The joy, that good, special energy that just surrounds you. Going to France this February was worth the 16 hour trip (and getting on a wrong train. Oops!) just to meet you again. To tell you in person how much you have inspired me. How much you have helped me.
Being bullied, dealing with people close to me dying, self-harming and being on my own made me loose complete faith in myself. Through your tweets (although not always directly to me) have helped me through all of it. Your advice has meant so much. You guided me the way to find the strength and confidence. Just a year ago I was hating myself and my body, you were the one to help me turn around and start believing that things could get better.
Every day is still a struggle, but you’ve helped me through it. It meant so much to me when you listened to my story, and allowed me to cry in front of you in France. I’ll cherish those moments forever. There has been a few moments where I wanted to harm myself again, but I remember all your words, read your TTB interview and your letter to beauty that’s on my wall. It always saves the day, no matter how bad it might feel at the moment.
You’ve saved my life, Shantel. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being you. And for showing me the way to Team True Beauty. I love you.
